April Marie Davis Campbell
April Marie Davis Campbell ’04 has served as the Pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Hastings, Minnesota since May 2011. She previously served as Minister for Children and Families at Robbinsdale United Church of Christ in Robbinsdale, Minnesota and Associate Pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Stillwater, Minnesota. She has a BA degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Nebraska-Omaha and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Christian Spirituality from Columbia Theological Seminary. Prior to attending seminary she did data and statistical analysis for the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Medicaid Division.
Serving as a Teaching Elder Commissioner to the 222nd General Assembly and on the Way Forward Committee she is very hope-filled about the future. She says, “It is through community and connection that we further God’s realm here on earth. I’m thrilled to be an alumnus of Princeton because I personally know how it changes lives.”
“Preaching is one of the most important things we do as pastors because it’s one of the last places in our society where people will actually listen, perhaps to things they may not agree with.”
